About the Home CLAREMONT PARK NURSING HOME is an attractive Georgian house with a purpose built extension housing and number of modern rooms with en-suite facilities. The Home has been extensively renovated and re-fitted to comply with, and even to exceed, today’s most stringent regulations governing private nursing homes. Registered nursing staff and carers are on duty 24 hours a day to assist with all the activities of living. We also have a dedicated catering and housekeeping team in attendance daily.

Deserve a comfortable, stimulating environment. Are entitled to high quality care. Have the right to retain and develop interests and social contact. Are entitled to a homely environment.

• OUR HAIRDRESSER attends weekly to carry out hairdressing needs for our residents. This is an optional service that residents may choose to use. Alternatively residents may prefer to visit another hairdresser of their choice.
• OUR ACTIVITIES ORGANISERS working to provide a person centered service to ensure that there are plenty of activities to choose from. We organise entertainers to visit the Home and there are lots of outings to local areas of interest such as the Butterfly Farm, The Portrait Gallery or a barge trip with The Seagull Trust. Some people prefer to just go for a walk or to a cafe for a cuppa and a cake. Whatever your wishes and physical abilities are we will endeavour to make sure you have a good choice of entertainment to enjoy. We also understand that sometimes you may wish to spend some quiet time in your bedroom; for those who like to read, the local library visits with a range of large print books to choose from.
• OUR GARDEN is mature, green and secluded so that residents and their families and friends can enjoy some privacy in a peaceful setting. There is ample seating and a gazebo for when the weather is hot. Our garden has a high wall and a security entry door which leads onto Claremont Road. We host an annual summer fete which always proves popular.
• WE ENCOURAGE FAMILIES to participate in the care of your loved one so that we become partners in care. We love to see the joy on the faces of our residents when they receive visitors and encourage families and friends to take their loved one out for a little while or sometimes the whole day if there is a special function to attend. If your loved one is not able to get out and about then we will do our best to cater for your needs when celebrating important anniversaries or birthdays – just ask. We aim to make the experience of living in our Home as homely as possible and there is often no reason why residents cannot enjoy the community life they had while living at home.
• Our LEAD GP Pharmacy PRACTICE attends to the medical needs of our residents. We have an excellent relationship with the practice and there is a monthly Pharmacist from GP visit to discuss any needs arising. Should our residents need to see a GP urgently then this will be promptly arranged. Some of our residents prefer to keep their own GP but their surgery needs to agree to this.
